Urine Leakage/Urinary Incontinence
Urinary Incontinence is the involuntary leakage of urine. It is often referred to as an “accident” and many women have been incorrectly told that it is “normal” after children or as women age. Urinary leakage is not normal. The most common cause is weakness of pelvic support due to changes related to pregnancy and childbirth. This common problem may affect as many as 1 in 5 women and is associated with leakage while exercising, coughing, sneezing, or running after the children. However, infections of the bladder, tumors and other medical problems can mimic this condition. Let you doctor know that you are experiencing this problem so they can help you determine the cause. We offer many options to improve or cure this condition. Don’t be embarrassed or afraid to discuss this problem. Even if you eventually have to consider surgery to correct the leakage we now offer solutions that work 90% of the time and will allow you to be back doing most of your routine activities within 1-2 days.
